Shipping schedules have changed and the shipping date from Melbourne to Cape Town has been brought forward a week to 12th December and time is now coming to a crunch! The vehicle is packed and ready and has had its final service by Rex Gorell Land Rover Geelong. (Next stamp in the book Land Rover Nairobi)?Insurances for both the vehicle, 3rd party liability and travel medical have been arranged ( at great cost!) and the Australian Automobile Association is busy preparing the Carnet.
Vaccinations in the form of Yellow Fever, Rabies, Meningococcal C,Typhoid and Hepatitis B are churning through our pin cushion like arms and anti malarials (Doxycycline) and other anti-biotics for the 1st aid kit have been purchased. All this prevention stuff came to a bit more than expected at AUD $2,000! Better work against those pesky mosquitoes!
Not much more to do for the present other than deliver Tincan to the docks on 12th December and wait until we fly to Cape Town towards the end of January to meet her……
